Today Kristo works as a CTO for the Estonian government: He is responsible for architecture vision, technology strategy, development principles and leading the engineering community.
Previously, Kristo has worked as a senior engineer, tech team lead, consultant and technology architect in the fields of banking, government and internet media, creating applications for almost twenty years. He is most known for being an outside-the-box-thinking evangelist for API-centric development and Domain Driven Design. He firmly believes in de-centralized, non-monolithic microservice-oriented architecture, which enables fast scaling and natural migration of technology.
